Last week I had the chance to chat to two lovely Brits, Eddie and Jim from Wideboys! I’ve loved the work of these guys since the early days when I was heavily into U.K. Garage and have continued to enjoy their work through the years. They have worked with many talented artists such as Lily Allen, Britney Spears and Michelle Williams (on the PRO MOTION single “We Break The Dawn.”)
I was excited to video chat with them and find out where their creativity stems and how they work together in the studio. We had a great chat in which they talked about a “James Bond” style scene they encountered while working on a remix for Rihanna, their current projects including remix, production & artist development and much more! “Did You See Me Coming?” is one of my favorite cuts from the fantastic Pet Shop Boys album “Yes” and I think that the Ralphi Rosario remixes add a really great dimension to the track.

The long awaited solo album from former IIO front woman Nadia Ali has finally arrived! “Embers” was released last week (and serviced to all you Mix Show DJs) I’m really enjoying the album and one of my favorite tracks is the dreamy “Fine Print,” which has been released by PRO MOTION featuring some killer remixes. We have another hot one by Andy Harding coming your way which you can preview below!

Zoot Woman are a critically acclaimed British alternative pop group comprised of Johnny Blake, Adam Blake, Stuart Price and Jasmine O’Meara. If you aren’t familiar with Zoot Woman you should be! However, if you don’t I’m sure you know Stuart Price, who is responsible for production work for some of the biggest names in the industry such as Madonna, Seal and the Killers. Adam and Stuart also make up the popular remix outfit Paper Faces who have created stomping remixes for artist such as Madonna, Scissor Sisters and Frankmusik.
“Things Are What They Used To Be” is Zoot Woman’s third album and has been in heavy rotation over here at the PRO MOTION offices. We are now we are finally ready to share it with Mix Show DJ’s in th U.S. this week!(The album is also now available at Amazon and on Itunes) NME gave the album 8 stars and a great review…

The band have just released this very cool video for “Memory,” (I’m loving the Polaroids!) which NME picked as the track you should download. This week we got a chance to catch up with Lee Dagger and Marc JB from Bimbo Jones! The guys are responsible for remixes for some of the biggest names in music such as Pink, Annie Lennox and Janet Jackson. They have worked with PRO MOTION on a variety of remixes including The Killers “Spaceman,” Valeriya “Wild About It” and most recently Hannah’s “Keeping Score.” The guys tell us what they’ve been working on recently, their favorite clubs to spin at and how they work together in the studio and much more.
