Over the years there have been a million mash-ups created using the classic Eurythmics track Sweet Dreams, some good some not so good. A couple of weeks ago Robert from Temposhark stopped by the loft while he was in New York. We had a chat with him about his rocking new album Threads, due to released on April 5. Threads is the second album from Temposhark, their debut the Invisible Line was released in 2008.
The band have collaborated with everyone from Imogen Heap to Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Britney Spears) Sean McGhee (Robyn, Sugababes) Camille, MIA and Morgan Page. Hear what Robert had to say about working with Morgan, (who created a delightful mix of Threads for this release,) the last great concert he went to, who he’s been listening to and writing music for and much more!

I think you’re all really going to love this one, let me introduce you to Leah Driscoll. On first listen of this track her powerful sultry vocals reminded me of Anastacia (What ever happened to her?) her new single If This Is Love has been given the remix treatment by Soulseekerz and Groove Police and the mixes really give the track an extra push to get you dancing! One of our newesr LIFT projects is BT’s latest release These Hopeful Machines it’s a two disc electronic journey that slams the dance floor with tightly wound beats and atmospheric synth patterns. Being a classically trained musician, I knew Brian would return to the electronic scene with something great, but what I found is a masterpiece. Standout tracks are the instrumental Rose of Jericho, Suddenly and epic electro-ballad Every Other Way featuring Jes. Sonically brilliant, and the tunes are catchy as hell. What’s more to ask? – Matt
