Dubstep princess Katy B stopped by the Pro Motion/LIFT loft recently to discuss her new album, musical influences and the video for upcoming single Witches Brew.

After Morgan Kibby’s White Sea This Frontier EP blew me away upon first listen I was eager to interview her. We sent some questions over, and she answered them from her studio in California. She talks about the decision to create such an eclectic debut EP, working with M83, what we can expect from her in the coming months and much more! One of the most interesting projects we have done in recent months is Innamorata by Athene Noelle. We locked down some super talented remixers Chris Cox, Johnny Vicious, Mr. V, and Loverush UK, who got outside their comfort zones and took on the task of taking a classic opera track and reinventing it in a dance fashion! This interesting fusion worked like a charm, and Athene has debuted on this week’s Billboard Dance Chart!

We had the opportunity to send her some questions to answer, and the result is this engaging interview in which Athene talks about her musical inspirations, her background in theater and dance and her debut album dropping this year! Enjoy!

My new musical obsession is Oh Land! I have played out her EP over the last few weeks and am eagerly awaiting the release of her new album. Last week we headed down to Brooklyn where Nanna was hard at work rehearsing for her upcoming shows. We had a great chat with her which we are delighted to share with you today. We talk about a range of things, including her live stage show, her debut album Fauna and how her move to Brooklyn from Denmark has influenced her work.
