NO WAY! I loved the original version where could hear his deep, rich clear voice. This is just his voice all broken & cut into today's TECHNO CRAP!

  • Hated it. Total junk.

  • It was… interesting.

  • I love it.

  • I don't like techno, but I LOVE anything with David singing. It really sounds outdated.

  • Sorry but it's rubbish! Obviously it's good for David's ego but he doesn't need this rubbish, he is fabulous in his own right. Love you David see you in November – mwah x!

  • David doesn't need techno sound, He already updated I think I love you and that was more then good enough.

  • Hated it! and if David likes this I can't understand why? I agree with @Bernie Carolan "It's Rubbish".

  • Its a bit irritating, but I think I love it!!

  • Fun, hip, modern. Very club-y. I like it!

  • Hate it!..Total Destruction of his classic!

  • I really love it, s different DAVID you are great xxx.

  • I love it.

  • Very today…..

  • not a fan of it at all. No need to change something that was perfect to start with.

  • It's interesting, but not my taste. It sounds monotnous (wrong spelling) Would be good for the club scene today. I prefer his daughter's version.

  • I love to hear David voice but not in this way. Don´t like it, sorry.

  • I don't like it either. I think I love you is a classic and doesn't need changing. You can't improve perfection!!

  • Hey! Great Club Dance Music! Could even make it in Berlin! It makes you move and the kids will love it!

  • I like the original better , but I'm lucky that now I can share David's Music with my children.

  • comes from a genre of music; *trance music*. Often young people will gather *without any drugs or alcohol*, which is really healthy, great exercise & just dance together.. This is a kind of music that is different than perhaps what you've heard previously. It's really perfect for dancing & introduces this song to a new generation in a completely different way. There's a dash of of tongue-in-cheek, dry humor, maybe not meant to be completely serious; great for dancing, having fun. Not everyone will love this music, but a different group of people may enjoy it. I couldn't stop laughing when I first heard it… It's fun on a different level.. brings a bit of levity methinks.. ♥

  • Ha ha I'm sitting here at my computer just bouncing my head to the whole 7:01! It's happily irritating and totally fun! No, it didn't "ruin" the original, we still HAVE the original, duh! If you don't like it, maybe you're too old! (I'm 50, BTW!) Love the photo, too…

  • Love it! Not meant to be serious….it's fun! Great to work out with.

  • I found it interesting but I agree with Charlotte: you can't improve perfection! In any case is a way of honoring David one of the most talented and sexy artist I've ever seen.

  • It is typical dance floor music and created for this time. Surley, the youth like that style. I prefer the old versions.

  • It's okay if you like dance music

  • I do not like it either.

  • I kinda dig it. It's different but I can still hear David in there.

  • Very Addicting….like David is! Found it to be an interesting mix….had to listen to it many times! So today….with the "World's Best Teen Idol " and Performer Ever! Hope David likes it? We need him to make a video for this!

  • Guessing he was being polite? pretty much sounded like most of the dance hall….stuff.

  • Let's just say the original speaks for itself.

  • Nice and up to date with a techno twist.

  • [...] also comments on a new mashup ‘Sex Like David Cassidy’ which samples his 1976 hit ‘I Think I Love You.’ Watch the full interview [...]

  • remember David did his own electronic version of this song. He may appreciate the arrangement more than we do.

  • I like it, but the original song is much better. Not too crazy about techno music. But if you like to dance, it is the perfect song.

  • I Like it.

  • Sex like David Cassidy" is pretty impossible, not even Keith Partridge really had it :) , even though he came very close of course.

  • And I am dreadfully sorry – but I don't really like this song. It's just not my kind of music. But I love the appreciation for David that is expressed with this song.

  • Don't hate, but don't care for it either. Leave the classics alone. The younger generation needs to appreciate what the original songs/movies/Tv are all about.

  • Hummm, odd. I just saw David in concert at Biltmore in Asheville, NC and he was fabulous! It's fun to go back to our youth. These doesn't take me back….just odd. Love you David! And tell Shaun hi and he should do a tour too!

  • I love the classic version more, but also this version it's not bad! I see it in a funny kind, also if it Techno and Dance Flore not so mine kind of music! :) But the kids of today will it bring the song so nearer! :)

  • very up to date mix up can see younger fans likening it more as its not the kind a music most older fans would go for so can see this being a bit like the remix cd a case of the mamite factor I myself lm like a mixed bag and like to be open mined on all types of music and quite like this.

  • I like the old classic version not into that kind of music. the kids today may like it but the original version will always be my favorite. but David did a good job of the song that his younger fans who did not grow up listening to the original version.

  • I like the originial version myself the BEST!

  • I don't like it! Sounds too much like an 80's dance craze!

  • Good to make Gymnastik :-) ) But I like it not! It´s to mutch —jeeeppiiiiii………autsch :-) )).

  • [...] for 2012, in the form of UK Legend‘s infectious track “Sex Like David Cassidy” – listen here. The record which first made it’s mark on the chart as a #3 Breakout is currently buzzing in [...]

  • HATE HATE HATE this version! Saw David sing I think I love You at Wembley on Sunday and its a Billion times better than this rubbish! 1

  • lol! David said he liked it, but I think he 'liked' it more from a production point of view, he went on about the way they played with things and turned things around and stuff. There is a lovely video interview with him on his fb page x

  • Very cool.

  • Great dance song

  • why would mr. cassidy NOT love this? and why any of his fans wouldn't love it, I can't understand. to each your own opinions, of course; but it think it took a great deal of thought, time and creativity to put this together. not to mention appreciation on the part of UK Legend themselves. keep in mind, too, that it is NOT a VERSION of this song, rather a piece utilizing ("sampling"?) bits and pieces of the "original" work. that they "heard" how it could be worked in, to me-is very cool. I've always had ideas on how certain "partridge family" songs could be re-worked (would it be called "re-arranged"?). I also think that "heartbeat" would have worked here, too. and hey people, if we can have "moves like jagger", why not "sex like david cassidy"? (seems almost synonamous!) I think it's pretty awesome, and a nice homage to mr. c.

  • Brilliant! Love it and so does DC! Will only listen to it about 4 times, but would definitely dance to it with teeny chickybabes! (I was one myself once, hem hem!) And oh yeah! Great Title!(Answer =Yes please) IT'S A BIT OF FUN , GUYS!

  • sorry but nothing can take the place of the old version…it is a classic..allways will be…but I grew up with David Cassidy, ya know posters on the wall……..smilen.

  • Techno is just not my thing at all. I feel it distracts from the beautiful tone of David's voice. However, if it will introduce younger generations to him and they come to fully appreciate his talent by listening to other recordings of his, then it is a good thing. What could possibly be wrong with keeping David Cassidy's name out there? NOTHING!

  • [...] released a song called “Sex Like David Cassidy” and you probably already know that I did a Skype interview. I really appreciate and understand that many of you love the original song. Nobody loves it and [...]
