DanBlackTape Pro Motion Interviews Dan Black

Last Matt & I  Skyped with Dan Back, who was in Paris working away on new music (which he previews  for us in the interview!) ex, before jetting back to the U.S. to start the All Hearts Tour with Robyn and Kelis that kicked off in Los Angeles a few nights ago.

We chat with Dan about his Symphonies collaboration with Kid Cudi, his thoughts about touring in the U.S and sharing a bill with Robyn & Kelis (we also asked him which of the lovely girls he’d duet with given the chance) he talks about working on his new album and who he has been collaborating with and writing for (Lady Gaga say what?!)  and much more!

mika MIKA: Kick Ass (Cutmore Radio Edit)

If you check out interview with Cutmore a few weeks ago you’ll have heard a sneak peek of his remix of Mika‘s Kick Ass. As usual Cutmore hits the mark beautifully and provides a slamming mix. Check this one out as we head into the weekend. Have a good one!

vangolion VAN GO LION: Sugarblush

Van Go Lion have once again put those superb production skills and that immense vocal ability to work! Their latest release Sugarblush, is an ethereal slice of bubbling electronica, boasting production reminiscent of William Orbit (best know for his work on Madonna’s Ray Of Light album)

“Sugarblush was originally intended to be a straight-up dance and techno track with barely any vocals… but I couldn’t help but write lyrics. It’s still not as vocally focused as our other new tracks and it really showcases electro synth. And I get to use my knobs and sample pads along with Josh when we play it live!” says Amy of the track.
